Well how many of us aware of such appointment? Even myself only realized such appointment when received written reply from Prime Minister recently. According to Prime Minister YB S K Devamany (MIC) was appointed as Deputy Minister at Prime Minister’s Dept to ensure Socioeconomic development of Indian and Minorities in Malaysia.
No idea what had Devamany done since March 2008 for the Minorities as activities confined within themselves. That ’s how current Government pass information to public. Well after elected as Member of Parliament I was advised that you’re now belongs to all Kaparian not only for Pakatan Rakyat members up to extend not to put party logo on letterhead.
Does we still need to teach them lesson that Government of the day belongs to all Malaysian and not only to their cronies from Barisan Nasional. What the use of putting someone there for name sake and handcuff him with internal policies? Surely we cann’t do anything since he just sitting there such to show figures that Indian well represented in ruling coalition.
Another interesting point that Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi touch to my question is his admision that Government cann’t operate effectively alone and his encouragement for Malaysian Indians to form bigger business entities. Though the point is very vogue without any elaboration, I will certainly like to hear more from Prime Minister or even YB SK Devamany how the government can assist Indians and minorities when they formed up larger cooperation. Are they willing to allocate some business and funding similar to their support to Malay Chamber of Commerce.
